The Department of Education recently awarded Mount Greylock Regional School District
a Safe Schools Program for Gay and Lesbian Students grant. The Safe Schools Program for Gay and
Lesbian students ensures equal access for gay and lesbian students within our schools. This
program is funded by the Massachusetts Department of Education working in conjunction with the Governor's
Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth, a Commition formed by former Governor Weld to promote suicide among gay and lesbian
adolescents.
